Delhi blasts….shaken not stirred…..

The long cycle rides in M block of Greater Kailash would provide the perfect breather at night from everything….the brilliant peace and calm that the area provided made it my very own secret haven for cooling off after school and homework and TV and an evening with friends…..I knew the guards…the old caretakers of the massive houses…the Mc Donald’s at the end of the street….the owner of ‘Ornate Stationary’…..It all came to become an extension of home…
Connaught place’s Central Park…the metro station there…the various dates in the area…all kind of make it a part of me and for that matter, most ‘Delhites’.
Hearing about two bomb blasts in M Block and CP’s Central Park of all places generates a very uneasy feeling that just makes me angry beyond expression.
The blasts in Delhi were all distinctly in places close to or bang in the middle of residential areas….M block, Karol Bagh….just gets the average Indian even more paranoid about his safety….even when at home….
A recent movie I saw ..’ A Wednesday’…spoke exactly of this….its only now with my favorite mid school hang out zone being bombed, that i can come to comprehend what Naseeruddin Shah spoke off in his brilliant speech at the end of the movie…
The whole situation and series of blasts just suck! 😡

7 point someone…..

ITC recently came to our college on a whim of their own to savor the pleasure of having some ‘8.5 and above pointers’ work for them during the summer….or something like that….i wasn’t really interested in the least in the whole issue (its GRE for me) and only got second hand info from some career oriented job seeking friends of mine ….

Its the insecurity that all of us are going through with regards to our future and the underlying paranoia it entails along with it that gets me. While we all sit and ponder upon the major choices we have available to us and how to best use the ‘iit tag’ bullshit that we worked our asses off to obtain, i really think one and all should stand up take notice and feel for the 7 point someones of these ‘premier’ institutes ( Mr. Bhagat was off by 2 points..)

They have the capability to silence the best of the minds….they have the mind to silence the most capable…and yet the underlying 3rd class treatment persists. Why? Because they’re almost there but not there enough to be called in for interviews….to be considered for foreign language courses….or to consider their futures secure.

Its yet another stupid side effect jab in the chest of some of the really talented bunch of kids from this country. Its a sickening sight and there’s no way out for them in the existing governmental system with the babus from abcd univ from some southie coll making up our @@#$ing future. All they can do….and they really do…is bell the CAT while this country goes to the dogs…..

** Written in a strongly vindictive mood caused by multiple reasons.

From the good old simple times… :)

When a friend sent this poem to me, it just seemed too darned ‘cornily’ nice to not put it up here 🙂 reminded me of the brilliant rhymes from m class 2 english book 😛
You’re a pink toothbrush, I’m a blue toothbrush
Have we met somewhere before?
You’re a pink toothbrush and I think toothbrush
That we met by the bathroom door.
Glad to meet toothbrush, such a sweet toothbrush
How you thrill me through and through
Dont be hard toothbrush on a soft toothbrush
‘Cause I cant help loving you.
Every time I hear you whistle……
it makes my nylon bristle…….
You’re a pink toothbrush, I’m a blue toothbrush
Won’t you marry me in haste?
I’ll be true toothbrush, just to you toothbrush
When we both use the same toothpaste.
